Sexuality...Very Confusing This One

Hmmmm. I have no doubt in 6 months I will change my opinion on this.

Men are permitted to have many wives, the the first wife must give her permission in order for the second marriage to happen. She has the right to deny her husband more wives.

Divorce is permitted, though it is negatively seen against the woman, like it is her fault. (Not sure if that is true). A woman has the right to divorce.

Abortion, is legal. Not sure if this information is correct. Needs to be verified.

What is attractive:
A nice healthy woman who is very round, nice big bottom and large bust, a full bodied woman. My housekeeper is a nice, young woman who is a beautiful, voluptuous woman. She said that men have told her that she is like a horse. We had some language confusion here, she meant healthy as a horse. Men have also told her she has a big bottom. She smiled when she said this, so I was confused. I asked, "is that a good thing?" She said, "yes."

I've walked the street with her and boys were honking from their cars, cat calling out the window, etc. The walk is only 1/2 hr. I was pretty impressed. She was smiling the whole time. She had her cute skirt and boots on and a scarf covering her head and neck, still the cat calling. For the record, I have walked down the street many a time and NO ONE has EVER honked, cat called, or even approached me. Kind of sad for me. I think my bootie is just too darn insignificant to be worth noticing.

However, my experience with men has so far been positive. In general, men have been polite, kind, quiet, shy and gentle with me. Not macho or anything. No cat calling, no whistling, no staring, no making bizarre noises at me to get my attention. It's been cold, so I've been very covered, not sure how it will be in the summer or what I'll be able to wear.

The general rule seems to be no cleavage. Not sure about the rest. It's not like in France and Italy where your underwear is an acessory. Not sure about the rest.

There seems to be 2 kinds of women here.
1 the majority: they wear the hajib which is a scarf that covers their head and neck, with the jilaba. The jilaba looks like a bathrobe with a hood. Some are brighter than others. Most are fairly dull and drap in colors, or really, truly looks like a bathrobe. I've seen people only wear this everywhere in Dar Bouazza where I live. It is rare to find a woman wearing western clothes, like what I would wear. Jeans, sweater, jacket for example.

The shoes she's wearing are traditional. Xavier bought a pair. They are good quality and are comfortable. This is what most women wear. A bland Jilaba, a bland hajib, crazy colorful print pants with crazy colorful thick socks that do not match the pants in any way shape or form and the shoes, which I forget the name of. Jalaba for men are just usually
dark, neutral colors like brown and black.

Some chicks in the city dress western. These women seem to be freer, educated, and wealthier. These are the local Moroccan women, and the westerners, in general terms, they call all westerners "les Français" The French. They call me les français, even though I'm not. Most people ask me if I'm American once they hear me talk in French because of the accent I've never managed to eliminate. Example of current western mode/syle:
This picture pretty much sums up my wardrobe. Throw in some skirts and opaque tights and a jacket that looks like it came from an albino woolly mammoth (yes, it was on super sale.)
